For speeds above 25 km/h (15.5 mph), consider a helmet certified to the Dutch NTA 8776 standard, which is designed for speed pedelecs. It offers more coverage and impact protection than a standard bicycle helmet (CPSC in the US, EN 1078 in Europe).
Use a hardened-steel D-lock (U-lock) or a heavy chain with a security rating such as Sold Secure Gold or ART 3+, and lock the frame to an immovable object. For expensive e-bikes, use two different lock types and add a GPS tracker.
