Parts fitment
What does Parts fitment mean?
Whether a replacement part is specified to fit an exact vehicle model, model year and electrical or mechanical configuration.
Parts fitment means that a component matches the particular vehicle and version you own. Similar looking dirt bikes may share a frame family yet use different batteries, controllers, connectors, wheels or mounting hardware. The part’s maker must identify the exact supported models and years.
Why model year matters
TORP’s compatibility FAQ lists support for particular 60 V Light Bee and Segway X260 setups but excludes the X160, Light Bee S and 2026 72 V Light Bee X for those kits. That is evidence for those specific kits, not a rule about every part. Segway’s parts store also labels individual parts by supported model.
For a used purchase, record the model label, serial number, battery voltage and part number before ordering. Ask the seller for receipts and check any Sur-Ron-branded upgrade against the Segway’s exact configuration. The Segway X260 versus Sur-Ron Light Bee X guide applies this check to the bikes buyers most often compare.
